Buying and Selling Clothing with Depop

Buying and Selling Clothing with Depop

Depop is an app where users can safely buy or sell used clothing by creating online profiles. I was immediately obsessed. It’s so easy, you just type in your key search word, then browse through hundreds of new and vintage pieces in the category, all the best items are already picked out.

Being the clothing lover I am, I’m always looking for new and convenient ways to buy unique, brand name clothing at cheaper prices. A few months ago I was introduced to an app called Depop.

The best part is that everything is so cheap, less than half of the retail price! How could you not buy everything?

After blowing my wallet shopping on Depop, I decided to start selling some of my own clothing. I quickly started to realize I was turning a huge profit. I would buy clothing for $5-10 and sell it for anywhere between $30-70! The only downside was the 10 per cent cut the app would take from each sale.

Depop has created a whole new avenue of thrift shopping, and is an app I recommend every fashion lover gives a try.

  TIPS!
- Always negotiate the price before purchasing! 9/10
           times they’ll lower it.
- When shipping out items, send with tracked
shipping, scammers exist and could claim they never
got their item, leaving you liable and trouble.
- Always look at the seller/ purchasers reviews!

  3. I'm always cycling clothes in my closet. I try really hard to only use the money I make from selling old clothes to buy new ones. Despite this I have never used Depop but I sure will now. Thanks for letting me know about it!

  6. I have never heard of this app before, talk about convenient! If I wrote this blog I was capitalize on perhaps this being a part of living a minimalistic life (topic thats trending right now) - this whole craze on decluttering and being organized could really use resources like this! Selling your stuff for profit really does give you more of an incentive to tackle our overly filled closets and get rid of things!
