Try-on Review of Online Legging Brands

Leggings are a staple piece of my closet to wear everyday and for working out too. My leggings have to be durable enough to last long days. I started out with a classic Lululemon Wuder Under Tight. They lasted awhile, but they have their faults. I’ve branched out and tried online athletic and fitness brands that I have seen on Instagram.

I am 5’1” with a petite frame, and wear a size 4 or size small in leggings. I have created specific qualities for leggings to pass my seal of approval:

• length
• Durability (don’t stretch out, stitching doesn’t rip, or are too thin)
• inseam panel (this is an extra panel sewn in the crotch of leggings for a more flattering look, typically in the shape of a triangle or diamond)
• waist height

I compared three highly-rated brands for this honest review of the leggings true fit. I have put these brands to the test with extensive research and tried on the leggings myself.

KORA Fitness is an athletic brand that is unique
because they donate to an option of 4 charities
with every item. I purchased the
KORA Sculpt Leggings in the colour plum. The
leggings meet my criteria in all aspects, ending
right at my ankle. They’re high-waisted
(above my belly button). KORA goes above and
beyond with the inseam panel travelling all the way down to the knee giving a very flattering look.

P’tula is an athletic brand and every clothing article is named after a client’s fitness journey the founder believes is heartfelt and relatable. I purchased The Desa-ree II Swift Leggings in the colour Caribbean current. The leggings meet all my criteria and look exactly like they do in the pictures online. The waist on these leggings is exceptional because the back is slightly higher so they don’t slip down.

Alphalete Athletics I purchased the Revival Leggings in the colour black. The leggings have been relaunched, to bring back the old favourable diamond shaped inseam panel for the most flattering look. The leggings are high waisted (above my belly button) and the durability is impressive. The only downside is they bunch a little at my ankles, but meet all of my criteria otherwise.

I’ve included these leggings in my outfits for the past three months and they still fit and look as good as when I first bought them. I would recommend these leggings because all brands fit all aspects of my leggings criteria, are really durable, and all styles are very flattering.
