Robbing
banks, playing poker, and living like an outlaw. Red Dead Redemption 2 is
finally here!
Red
Dead Redemption 2 made $725 million over the weekend. Second biggest launch in
entertainment history behind Rockstar’s other franchise Grand Theft Auto 5
raking in $1 billion in 2013 at launch.
Red Dead Redemption 2 opened up to the biggest
weekend launch in entertainment history at $725 million — yes, even bigger than Avengers earlier this year. Video games have gone
from a niche hobby/pastime into one of the most profitable industries in the
world.
Playing as John Marston was fun, seeking revenge and the eventual
demise of Dutch’s Gang was
rewarding but seeing the back story of the Van der Linde gang
through Arthur Morgan’s eyes will bring a new perspective to the world of Red Dead
Redemption.
And who doesn’t want to relive the wild west!? From
committing bank heists, robbing trains, playing poker, setting up camps, and
running from the law, you can live out your wildest fantasies. I’ve been
waiting forever (eight years to be exact) to finally experience it!
Rockstar Games has spent such
a long time developing the game that the level
of detail in the world is... absurd. An example is the fact that you
can drink a potion called “hair tonic” that’ll accelerate your hair growth for
all those lumberjacks that want the best beard for Arthur Morgan, or that you
sweat depending on how active you are, or that a horse’s “parts” erm… shrink or
expand depending on the weather. Yes, Rockstar put so much detail into the game
that cold weather will shrink horse’s genitals… I’m not making that up.
Nonetheless, I cannot wait to enter this world full of
sprawling landscapes. From villages and towns to Rocky Mountains and dense
swamps, industrial cities in the process of modernization to forests full of
dangerous wildlife.
I’m looking forward to playing Red Dead Redemption 2. What
are you looking forward to the most? Let me know, I can’t wait to hear what you
guys think!

ReplyDeleteThis game look even more vast and full of character.
ReplyDeleteI played hundreds of hours of GTA 5 both offline and online, and would love to get lost in this adventure.
I've just gotta wait for the PC release, if that ever happens.
Been waiting for this game since I was a little kid! Can't wait to get my copy and show my brother how sick the world of RDR is!
