Why is everyone talking about the Raptors? A look inside the Toronto Raptors organization By: Jake Kamin
You may start to read this and ask: Why should I care about reading about the Raptors? Well, you might want to read about some of the changes to the team and other changes for this season. Not to mention the amazing team they have this year and the chance for an unprecedented championship. If you love basketball and love the Raptors, this is a HUGE DEAL!
Great talent
This year, the Raptors upgraded their talent with the addition of Kawhi Leonard. He was ranked as the third best player in the NBA last year, and is still dominating scoring about 30 points a game for the Raptors.
One can even say the Raptors never had someone this good in franchise history, since he’s better than Vince Carter (arguably).
We traded away DeMar Derozan for Kawhi Leonard (which was a steal, no pun intended). Derozan was good, but Kawhi’s exceptional sense for the game, including his ball handling and defence takes the cake.
LeBron is out of the Eastern Conference
I bet if you don’t watch sports, you’ve heard about about this human ‘beast’. I hate this human. Truth be told, I don’t hate too many people.
Not because he is a bad human, but he is always dominant against the Raptors (which I’m sick of already) and he played in the same conference as the Raptors. LeBron’s former team, the Cavaliers, and the Raptors both made it into the playoffs and eliminated the Raptors many times, because of LeBron’s dominance. Now Raptors won’t play against LeBron as much (thank goodness) because he is playing in the Western Conference for the Los Angeles Lakers.
I don’t know about you, but I am fired up for this Raptors season! If you don’t know by now, I am diehard Raptors fan.
So, what do you think? Do you think that the Raptors have a shot for the trophy this year?

I think the Raps got it in the bag this year if they can work on their D. Totally agree on Lebron, screw that guy haha.
ReplyDeleteThis season has been incredible so far for the Raptors. I'd like to see Kawhi Leonard play more regularly, as I think that would take the team to the next level!
ReplyDeleteThe way the Raps did DeRozan dirty was a little rough. Can't agree with that, although no one can deny Leonard's talent.
ReplyDeleteOK YOU WATCH YOUR MOUTH ABOUT VINNIE! But other than that it does my heart glad to see a Raptor's fan blog. Leonard ain't staying, by all (rumour) accounts he's not trying to get to know the city, hates the cold and is going to leverage his time here and impact on Toronto to get a better deal in LA. Danny Green though, that man's gonna stay. He deserves more attention. DeRozan deserves a movie about how the Raptor's organization did him dirty, with Drake and Lebron financing it. #DeRozanIStoronto
ReplyDeleteThe Raptors are definitely making it far in the playoffs this year, but I think we still have a lot of competition with Philadelphia and Boston having pretty solid teams this year.
